Deceived

Once upon a time,
I shared with you my rhyme.
I thought you truly cared
About all that I shared.
Then one day it changed,
When I saw things rearrange.
You said you were curious.
I let you know the obvious.
You took it as a surprise.
Then told me of your lies.
Nothing could be said
To hide the things in my head.
My thoughts swirled anxiously.
Your words troubled me.
I wondered what lies I believed.
Wondered, how many you'd deceived.
It hurt to hear it from you.
I guess it was the best you could do.
Now I want back what I shared.
Because I know you don't care.
