Wanting change

by jason   Apr 29, 2007

Wanting a change
in this world
a time where we wont be bored

wanting a light
to shine bright
to help us get rid of the fools

that control this world
and leave us all
in so much bore

wanting to escape
all the cruelty
that is kept behind the yellow tape

want to
stab a stake
through a nation until it breaks

over throwing the ones who cause
and make the mistakes
that ruin ones fate

want a change
to help others lives
the one who are deprived

make this world for everyone
a better life
for all to live inside

not here anymore children cry
no more people die
over stupid fights

no more oppression
leaving people
suffering through the night

want a change
for all to be entertained
equally an none be enslaved

by ruler or race
all kings must go away
so the people can be in their rightful place

next to each other
with a smile
on everyones face

no one to own them
no one to tell them
their place

(note to reader when i mention kings i am talking about the government)

This poem really speaks! I have been thinking about all of those things these days and when I read this poem it was like everything was clear. I loved the voice in this poem. It had a really nice flow. It wasn't to bad with being emotive, either. Great job!

    I agree...great!!!

  • A splending poem that is very touching..it really opens the readers to wonder what is acctually going around us,,,and outside our safe little cage we live in and the things those people in power do for the sake of power to overrule everyone else and take what rightfully owned by the deprived...
    great great poems...
