Just Say It (For the World)

by LadyPearl   Apr 29, 2007

It seems...the world is sleeping tonight
Yet I can't seem to find my dreams
I'm trembling but darkness holds no tears
And death will come second to your words

No one but heaven will accept my birth
No one but nature will grant me life

They turn their faces away from me
In mended rags and soot do I gleam
With dirt on my face and sickness close
I shut my eyes and wait for empty words

Say it....Say it....Say that I'm nothing
Say that I'm nothing but a piece of dying meat
Say that my worth is but a speck of dirt
The dirt which I live in, which I call my home

Out in the streets, out in the desert
Eyes black like coal--burning with hate
Soon turn to sorrow-with death as the name
Why do you watch me with pity and disgust

Am I not human to this world of chained souls
Must I endure the silent words you throw
Say it, I beg you, that nothing is my name
And all that I keep is but pebbles to you

Very good write. I loved the word choice and there were some places that had a very nice flow to it. I like it:) Another 5 out of 5 from me.

    It's not mysterios
You kind of say what you want to say in this poem.
The flow seems pretty rocky, though.
    Like for example
    Reading was okay
Then I stumble on the words because
They just don't flow as well.
    But all in all.
This is very sad and thoughtful.
    I give it a 5 :]

Awww, so sad and well penned.
The flow was very beautiful and
I couldn't find any mistakes at all.
    You are one talented writer.
    God bless 5/5
