29th Of May: Dedicated To My Grandma

by Shattered Glass   Apr 29, 2007

I stand infront of your grave with a bouquet,
To bad I can't give you your present,
Its your birthday; The 29th of May,

The sun shines bright in my eyes,
As the tears fall down my cheeks,
No longer can I hide behind these Belies,

I set the flowers down on your grave,
Run my finger over your name,
One last time I read the engrave,

As I get up I say 'Happy Birthday',
I stood there for a couple more minutes,
Then I turned around and walked away,

As I silent whispered your name,
The faintest tear ruled down my cheek,
Without you here Grandma' lifes not the same,

Aww. This is so sad. But i can really relate. Its not nice losing someone you love at all. My Nanna just passed away in april b4 my birthday. But yeah. Its a lovely write, so simply written, but with so much emotion. Stay strong. 5/5 nice work.
