Crimson Moonlight (Rondelet)

by Gem   Apr 30, 2007

Crimson moonlight
Rising into the empty sky
Crimson moonlight
A blood red glow blankets the night
A lone wolf howls a lonesome cry
The red moon floats, a bloodshot eye
Crimson moonlight

Rondelet - The Rondelet is a French form consisting of a single septet with two rhymes and one refrain:
AbAabbA. The capital letters are the refrains, or repeats. The refrain is written in tetra-syllabic
or dimeter (four syllables), and the other lines are twice as long - octasyllabic or tetrameter (eight syllables).

Ohh, I loved this. :] The description was perfection, I could see it all.. perfectly. The flow was a bit off, but it always seems that way when I read rondelet's, eh. I have no idea why, but I'm sure it's not really messed up, just me. The rhyming was quite good, along with the feeling and descripition.

    Keep it up, hun.
