Sleepless night...

I woke up just a couple hours ago
I had been having that same dream
The one where I'm calling your name
Trying to warn you of your doom
But you don't hear me
Because your not really there
Your already gone and it's too late
Theres nothing I can do
I get out of bed and get a glass of water
As the rim of the glass touches my lips
I remember the last kiss we shared
Where I had told you that I loved you
And you'd said nothing in return
I look down to see a glistening piece of glass
Staring up at me, calling my name
I pick it up and turn it in my hand
I told myself I wouldn't do that anymore
And I threw the piece away
Not because I didn't want to
But because I've found something to replace my pain
You see this happens often
These sudden memories of you
And every time they do
It's like a million little cuts
I walk to the phone to see if you have called
It says one new message it says it is from you
I pick it up and listen to what you had to say
You where telling me how happy you were
But through your laughter I could hear something else
Was that the sound of sadness
Hiding in your voice
I put the phone back down
And remember our last talk
We were talking about the kiss
And I could tell you were getting sad
Because you felt like you were cheating
I couldn't stand to hear this
So I told you I would leave
But then I changed my mind
I had already lost you twice before
I don't think I could handle anymore
I asked you if you were mad
You said you weren't but I could tell you where lying
I open my eyes and look at my watch
I don't know why I bother
Cause it's just one more Sleepless Night
