James (so sorry)

by David   Apr 30, 2007

I am so hurt, so full of dread
I have preformed the biggest sin
I have hurt a friend, hurt him bad
So this poem, will be saying sorry to him

I felt tired this morning
Had to get up early to help a friend
I didn't know it would get out of hand
That at lunch, I would lash out in the end

I swung around,
Slammed my bag in his face
Knocked him back against the rail
Made him bleed, sob, I am disgraced

He didn't deserve it
He was only joking to me
Yet I was grumpy and tired
The humour I could not see

I am home and feel bad
I shed another tear,
Another dam stuff up
What will I surcome to next?
That's what I truly fear

Yet how can I make you see
That I am your friend
I am indebted to you for always
Till the very end

You helped me through so much
And I go pay you back like that
What good am I to you?
I am an ungrateful,
I don't deserve you as a mate

I'm so sorry,
I wish I could take it all back
I need you as a friend,
Or I will inevitably be in lack

Of your love
And of your kindness
Your words of wisdom
To open my eyes from my blindness

Gah James I'm so sorry
I am crying within, no matter what I say now
CAN NOT describe my hurt and dread
Please forgive me, somehow...

So sad, yet such a sweet thought to aplogize with rhyming words. straight from the heart. i am soory you had a bad day, and I hope thinks only get better, and that your friend forgives you. THe flow was grand, the word choice wonderful, and the structure was great. 5/5 one more time.

This was so sad ,and yet so beautifully written. If the friendship you have is true then I am sure your friend will see why what happened did happen ,for if he is a friend he will know you like no other and its a true friendship that can forgive and gain strength not just in good times but bad times too ,because a true friend is there no matter what.
