Old man, Stranger

by Melissa   Apr 30, 2007

Truth is a conspiracy
said the mindless tongue
pretending to own a brain,
his teeth gnawed at questions
as though they were a frame

My mouth perched there (most inarticulately)
then mind started wondering
about answers
and the way they exquisitely avoid definition,
is this crazy old fool on to something
are facts constantly swarming
our little hearts
with overwhelming information
to expose the core
or am I listening too intently?

Evidently you were listening, and still curious or just cautious for the safety of your brain and the information that is implanted into it. That was a thought provoker. Good job. As Sunny said, babble gets tuned out from my ears, I just stare intently and smile nicely.
