No Longer

by Nessa   Apr 30, 2007

In this game I have neither lost nor won
And it shall be played for years to come

Though I am now truly happy
Can't you see it on my face
That heavy burden of you
lifted up from this place

My heart no longer heavy
My eyes no longer moist
No more visions of false hope
When I would hear your voice

I have finally gathered my courage
And swallowed my pride
And within myself
This I shall confide

No longer shall you haunt me
Or cause me so much pain
My heart has been fixed
And will no longer by you be slain

I know I must move on
And that is what I shall do
My spirit gone with the wind
No longer tormented by you
