Writer's Block

by Laurie Tran   Apr 30, 2007

I'm entering a writer's block
but these words I want to say about you.
The way you make me smile,
With all the little things that you do.

Please excuse these few awkward lines,
I can't think of anything better.
I'm too obsessed with old memories,
Nothing else hardly matters.

I'm having trouble making things rhyme,
Slide shows of you playing in my mind.
Sitting in the class and I can't focus,
Losing track of dead time.

My paper's shining white,
The pure color of blanks.
I looked to you for inspiration,
and my lonely heart sank.

There's these three words I really want to say,
I just can't find the right time to.
Hopefully you'll read this poem,
and know that I love you.

Aww that's sweet, but to help you out a little. Since you're having writers block, instead of rhyming every 2 lines just rhyme every four. Or you really don't have to rhyne as long as it flows..That's the way I see it. lol Great job. 5/5
