The meeting.

I can not help but ponder what is in the depths of those eyes,
As you look at me from afar,
I can not help but hope there is more than compassion in your touch,
As you wipe away my tears,
I can not stop thinking about what I want us to be,
As I wait in line,
I can not stop myself from wondering if there is another on your mind,
As our eyes break apart,
I can not tell you how I feel,
As I build my wall higher with each passing second,
I can not stop wanting to be near you,
Even though our eyes are separated,
Even as I deny,
Even after you look away,
Even though I doubt you,
Us,
Everything,
My eyes still search for you,
Smile only for you,
Long for you,
It is my eyes that say the three words I can not.
My heart may miss a beat,
You will not see,
My hands might shake,
You will not see,
I might not draw a breath,
You will not see,
They will hide it well,
It is my eyes that wait for you,
To listen,
To hear,
To understand,
What these eyes of mine are saying,
What these eyes of mine are screaming,
It is my eyes that say the three words I can not.
