Falling Awake.

by Teria   May 1, 2007

Your dreams too far away
I can't seem to grasp reality.
Your tears falling too fast,
My hands can't move that rapidly.

Your thought-less thoughts wondering,
I can't seem to catch up.
Your wondrous feelings galloping,
causing mine to corrupt.

Your floating spirit,
joining with mine.
Your earthly ways,
and dramatic time..

It's way too much for me to carry,
My body's just too weak.
It is way too much for me to care for,
I'm afraid I'm not what you seek.

I'm rapidly falling,
falling awake.
I'm rapidly falling,
into a lovers earthquake.

It is running my life, it's more than I bargained.
I just cannot seem to add up...
For, your thought-less thoughts wondering,
are moving too fast for me to catch up.

This poem was great because the flow was impeccable. Without the simple beat and the easy flowing style allow the reader to be carried along with the poem. Also I loved how the feeling seemed to electrify each stanza into a state of fever from which the reader couldn't escape. Great job. 5/5.
