Into Sorrow's Depths

I am falling
Into the depths of sorrow
I am descending
Into the land of woe

Down I go
As happiness is out of my grip
The light was in my hands
Before I let it slip

I am drowning
In the sea of sorrow
Happiness has left me
Its light no longer aglow

I watch the light leave
As I fall into sorrow's lair
Instead of the ocean breeze
I breathe in sorror's air

The wings of sorrow
Wrap around me
The arms of sadness
Pull me into the sea

The light of jollity
Is no longer aglow
