Reprieve

by Flying Phoenix   May 1, 2007

I stood up and wandered away
Across the fields; I caught the suns glare
Beaming down from that serenity above
Cocooned in reason, yet lost within doubt
I plagued myself with corruption
Wrought still with madness
Caused by your love

Why when time passes cannot I forget?
Time turns and moves alone
Still here in the path of misery I stray
Reservations and misgivings
Infectious diseases on my soul
And heart
As I fight yet again
Loosing steadily till overcome

There alone, desperate and lost
I broke down and wept
For my tears to touch your heart
Or my misery to let me be
Let this madness leave

As I called out

"Grant me reprieve"
