Let Not Nautre {Triple Tanka}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   May 1, 2007

Inevitable
Is the beauty within life
Which is spread throughout
Earth; let not the flowers
Run Wild of which you built.

Spread your love throughout;
Let all be discovered
And let the beauty
Of everything surround
You with delightful taste.

God you're the Ruler
Of all you created;
Let not the grass
Tell you where you can rest your
step; tread where you find pleasing.

----------------------------------------------

Tanka is a classic form of Japanese poetry related to the haiku with five un-rhymed lines of five,
seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. (5, 7, 5, 7, 7)

    I absolutely loved this poem.
    "Inevitable

    Earth; let not the flowers
    Run Wild of which you built."
    ^ I loved those lines, they were beautiful!

    The last stanza, I loved it as well as the second, but I wish it could have said you are God, instead. :/ But, oh well. It sounded great how it was. I really liked the last two lines, too.

    GoodGolly. What am I say, I loved it all. Lol. It was an amazing write. :D
    Keep it up, hun.

    This is, once again, beautiful.
    Although...
    God you're the Ruler
    Would sound a whole lot better
    If you turn it into
    God you are the Ruler
    It just sounds different.
    I think it sounds better.
    I don't know, you might think differently.
    But other than that
    5/5?
