We Are 25 Miles Apart

We are 25 Miles Apart
By Natalie Heym

We are 25 miles apart
This really breaks my heart
I can't feel your touch
See your beautiful smile
Can't look into those beautiful eyes
Can't kiss your hand
Although in my heart
We are never apart
No distance, no person and nothing
Will ever keep us apart
So this 25 miles apart
Is only distance
But in our hearts
You and I will never be apart
Screw the 25 miles apart

**** I wrote this for my ex-girlfriend who I am still close friends with and who I still feel something for... She lives 25 miles away from me and I have not been able to see her in a good minute*****

Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder as love that isn't real truly makes the heart grow fodder. Love reading your poems.
