A Message

There's not a damn thing I regret.
Even if there is,
I cant take it back now.

I know a lot of people say,
They know they cant change the past,
But deep down inside,
I know they wish they could.

Well I'm not one of them.
I love that I colored the sky all shades of grey,
When the everyone told me that its really blue.
Come on, you know that it ain't true.
Not everyone has to see the same shade of color.
Thats just so unnatural.

Why does anyone want to live a lie?
A life so superficial,
Full of no surprise.

Why does anyone want perfect?
Having to walk on a line,
You couldn't fall even if you tried.

These bruises...
These scars...
The wounds healed,
But they left their marks,
I don't really mind.
They've taught me a lot.

I can't play with fire and not get burnt.
I can't play in cold and not get sick.
I can't tame a wild animal and not get hurt.
I can't fall from a building and not get broken.
But hey...
Maybe I like it that way.

We all have rules we have to live by.
We have laws we have to obey.
We all have fears we try to avoid.
We have things were scared of.
But don't let it take you over,
And live your life for you.

Open your eyes.
Open your mind.
You'll finally see that you are living in a shell.
Doesn't the little space feel tight?
Want to make it feel more than just right?
Then live a little!
Live a lot.
What have you got to lose?
You live,
You learn,
Theres things you'll lose,
The things you'll earn,
Isn't it worth taking a risk?

You'll never learn to fly if you've never leapt.
You'll never learn to ride a two-wheeler,
If you've never gotten rid of the third wheel.
You'll fall and it'll hurt,
But for better or worst,
You're still alive.
So who cares?
Try it again and try even harder.
