She's Gone...

by Kristen   May 2, 2007

Ok. So I myself did not write this, my girlfriend did. She is an amazing writer and she went to college so she could become one...but she doesn't share her work with anyone and she always has so much self doubt about her work. So I am sharing it with you all!

Forgotten promises lie lost
Stuffed behind the hopes and dreams
Tears flood past soaked hands
Life is honored as the minutes pass
Saying goodbye was never this hard

Choices made leave impressions
Lasting through generations long after
Painting pictures in the mirror
As time spent chasing childhood dreams
Allow for laughter
In this hour of need

Imagining the rest of time alone
Seems too unbearable
Knowing letting go
Would only make things worse
Push on, hear her voice
Encouraging you
Daring you to show her up

The pain of loosing her will ease
In time, tears won't come
With each thought of her
Later on, with the right support
Returning to her favorite spot
Will be easier.
