Broken In Two

by Italian Stallion   May 2, 2007

Broken in two,
A love now gone.
Broken in two,
My heart now lays.

A love that was to last,
Was gone before my eyes.
The one and only love,
Which vanished from my heart.

Broken hearted I lay saddened,
Pondering why she had left.
Wondering what I had done,
That caused this big ugly mess.

This heart will never love again,
For it's set on one special person.
She means more than she knows to me,
And will always remain within my heart.

Usually, I prefer poems that rhyme, but this one I really enjoyed. Love needs not to rhyme.
I can relate to this poem 100%

Wow this really is such a sad sad poem.
    I love it!
I also liked the way of describing your love for this person, and your will to just simply not willing to love anyone else. This really shows how deep the love for this person is and i think that is such a beautiful thing.
Other then that I think this is a very strong poem and that it flows very well. Excellent choice of words too.

Wow this poem was really good. I loved it. the only critique that I have is "Brokenhearted I lay saddened," should be "Broken hearted I lay saddened," Broken hearted is two words not one. Although I liked this peice I find that the flow of this poem was a little off.
