EveryDay

Everyday we wonder how long this torment will last. How long we will be forced to endure the pain, the confusion, this endless suffering that seeps into every crack of our being, invades every place of joy, and destroys every thread of hope. Why did we ignore the warnings, the evidence so clear, and overwhelming. We let him control our fates, we gave him the power without hesitation.
Everyday we long to remember a time of pleasure, a time when this tyrannical monster didn’t threaten our very existence. A time when love, hidden away in the beauty of the sky would engulf everyone and everything in a since of peace and happiness, looking down upon us, dropping by for unsuspecting couples. A time when screams were just a vague memory, and the sun proudly emitted its glory. A time when happiness was more then a thought; and love, a reality.
Our memory’s slowing fading away, we cry out, through the thick, musty air; filled with the screams of the others, through the smell of the freshly shed blood that only grew stronger, and the haze of death that distorted every thought, and invaded all hope. This was our home, our grave, our very existence, the fabric of our being, a tortured soul among the others, a scream in a lake of screams. Everyday we endure this pain, this endless suffering, longing for a day of peace, desperately searching for an end that will never come, a death that will never be written, a confusion that will never part.
Everyday we will suffer this endless torment, punished for our actions, controlled by a monster, and pitied by none.
