Broken Mirror On The Wall

by Amanda   May 2, 2007

I do not know what it is in you that I see
I can not know why you said what you did about me
What is it about me that men run from
Every time they do this my heart becomes numb
My mind swirls again in this smokey haze of fear
It gets so thick that it makes my eyes tear
Roses are red but violet's are not blue
But they turn that color when I'm thinking of you
I can not breath, sleep, or eat anymore
The pain was knocking and I opened up the door
I tried to lock it away inside but once again it has escaped
Will you not take the blame for the heart you have more than just scraped
The mirror on the wall is broken, but inside it now is your tainted reflection
My heart cries again with the awkward damaging rejection
You have proved to me once again why I am alone
But all along, deep down I have always known
That no one wants to love a dreamer without a real dream
Because she is left in darkness without even the slightest gleam
