Graduation: Her Fears

by Amanda   May 2, 2007

Her emotions swirl through her head
Her once strong will has most certainly fled
That Big day is almost in sight
Her future is uncertain but it could be bright
She doesn't know what it is that she will do
She has no idea what she will have to go through
She wonders to herself if she will live a rich life
Will she be a famous actor or singer's wife?
Will she be a writer, who writes Pulitzer winners?
Will she be a preacher trying to save sinners?
How in the world will she survive the real world?
Her future gets brighter than dimmer as it is twirled
Who knows, not her, her mind is spinning around
And she's finding it harder to hold onto the ground
The world is changing in her eyes
She knows she wasn't very wise
But the past has already gone by too quickly to worry about
Is what has happened in the past really a good reason to doubt?
Why is she so worried about the future, when the present is still here?
Maybe the problem is that reliving the past turns out to be her greatest fear
