Sustained on false hopes

We were never destined to fall

things just went their own way

It's a wonder that you've made it this far

but how much longer can you go

sustained on false hopes and faraway desires?

living vicariously through another

you can eat to live but you can't live to eat

stop playing the regret game and recognize

today isn't yesterday

forward can only be one direction

In searching for an answer

you'll never quite get what you desire

there's more to the truth then just the facts

How is it in obscurity the clarity comes much sooner

then what's right in front of us seems to be much later

When saying your sorry does it really make anything better?

The aptitude the drive the desire is there
but the courage to continue

they are completely unaware
Life can become anything

but scrambled in noise
its only when its cleared that

the silence comes again
and clarity can begin

Just remember the future influences you much more then the past

for maybe only then can you make it, can you last
