Breathing Puppet

by Run out of words   May 2, 2007

"Dance dance, to the pretty tune my love,
I'm used to hearing these words"
What more can I do?
Rather than look to help from above,
when I'm being pierced by a billion swords.

"Work work and work a little more,
I believe in perfect, I believe its true".
Well I've worked and worked, and worked some more,
what more do you expect me to do?

Smile smile and smile at me friend,
even though at lunch you'll be gossiping behind me.
Ask me to talk to him for you,
Tell me you don't want this friendship to end,
and I'll believe all your b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t. happily.

Joke joke joke with me boy,
does it really matter what I feel?
Just use me up like a used up toy,
but notice these tears are more than real.

Jump jump get more active,
run fifty more meters my coach will say.
Dance dance be more expressive,
As though I'm a peacock dancing the night away.

Well if I was a peacock I would dance,
I would dance your brains right out.
But I'm not a peacock and I'm not your socializing chance,
And my lips are stitched so tight I can't shout.

Keep quiet keep quiet we don't care,
What you have to say doesn't matter.
Walk through me walk through I'm not there,
If my heart broke you wouldn't even hear the shatter.

She's naughty she's naughty,
don't pay her any attention.
And with each and everyone one of their comments mean and snotty,
just builds up more of my tension.

Add a brick add a brick add a brick to my wall,
you've put so much effort to put them up.
And now thanks to you all this wall stands so tall,
with me laying somewhere deep inside.

Why won't she show? Why won't she show?
Why is she trying to hide?
Why do you ask? Why do you ask?
It's about time you people showed your real sides.

Add a brick add a brick add a brick to my wall,
Close the doors and shut it.
And now thanks to you all this wall stands so tall,
and inside is me,
a live and breathing puppet.
