Without Me

by Twisted Heart   May 2, 2007

In darkness you'll sit, maybe ask why
The place seems so empty
Tears well in your eyes

But don't you remember, the day went away
My heart was a victim
By the games that you played.

It seems hopeless to ponder, you hadn't a clue
The pain you inflicted
Was the most you could do.

Now you sit all alone, as belief settles in
Remembering the sound
of your words once again.

And shadows are cast, on the emptiness there
You hold to your tears
shaking your head in despair.

Was it just a reflection, of all that you knew
When you tore at my soul
As my heart broke in two.

You'll have time to wonder, maybe you'll see
That the loss you are feeling
Is life without me.
