Committed to an Institution

by Michael D Nalley   May 3, 2007

Are we committed to an institution?
Without a demand for retribution
A marriage of the mind, and soul
With hearts to be divinely whole

Why do we feel so all alone?
As if we are both on our own?
Captured by our destiny
Breaking rules to be free

Committed to a worthy cause
We're not so far away from laws
Guilty of love, or acquitted
Either way we are committed

I loved this one very much because it was very different.
I agree with vanessa, that the message is one that most might not understand.
    Well done

I think everyone is committed somehow, even if in their own minds. Great write. Awesome flow, and the message, well it is defianlty one that most people wouldn't understand. I don't know what else I can say, except these written words of your bring joy to my dark side, and they even bring a smile out from my tears. 5/5
