Sweet dreams and bullet holes...

by SweetDreamz   May 3, 2007

Dreams of someplace else
Of somewhere clear as day
Where the rain is only water
And the fear is washed away

Pain with strength enough to cast a shadow
I dream of sunshine to bring them light
Transform into the glorious moon
And bring a peaceful night.

These dreams of a different world
play cruel games before my eyes
The temptation I cannot reach
The attraction was full of lies.

Can we lay down our weapons?
I'll retreat from the line of fire,
Patch up the bullet wounds,
Should I hold the white flag higher?

I dream of this day
When the battle ground is still,
The gentle wind carries no shards
And when no further blood will spill.

This is still but a dream
Of day and of night.
The sugar coated illusion
Not yet seen in realities light.

Until I find this morning
The most bitter nights will remain
Stinging with a darkness most sharp
Once more, my shadows of pain.

Why is it I am within this battle?
A battle none can win?
the reason for war no one knows!
You know nothing of my sin.

I flirted with the romantic evil
And found my Valentine of sorrow
I danced but fell in to deep
The steps too sharp to follow.

Perhaps there is a map
Maybe X marks the spot.
I would write it on my skin
I could find it before I rot.

Or maybe this peaceful place,
This place of my dreams,
Is in fact beneath the ground
Maybe, just maybe, death is not as bad as it seems...

"Where the rain is only water

    no, those are genius lines.
    Very crafy.
I'd give it a 9.9 if it went that high but you'll have to settle for yet another 5 from me ^-^
