Cherry Blossom Tree

by Jayleen   May 3, 2007

My head in my hands;
tears in my eyes; I cry;
entwine in my finger,
a note, can't you see?
It's constricting my skin,
my blood, my soul; can't
you see?

Can you see what you
did, that one month
ago; you killed me
inside by saying
one thing, "It's over."

Some weeks ago it
was just you and me; hand
in hand, fingers laced;
our lips locked together,
under our cherry blossom
tree; we spoke of our love
as if it were a dream;
now, its just me.

I sit underneath our
cherry blossom tree; a
cherry blossom between
my finger tips.

I sigh as I stare at the soft,
pink petals; they remind me
of your smooth, sweet lips;
this innocent cherry blossom,
so small and delicate, just like
us, but, my dear, we broke
up.
