Lover or friend (I need you there)

by isabel   May 3, 2007

I need you there, to make me smile
I need you now, stay for a while
I need to brighten up my day
You make the sadness go away

We speak of love, you say goodbye
I hold my breath and wish to die
Lover or friend, won't ever care
Meaningless how, I need you there

Friends are together 'till the end
My broken heart, I need to mend
I'll whisper softly in your ear
We'll be just friends, nothing to fear

    Won't ever care = I won't ever care

I enjoyed this poem, and it was very cute... However, I did not particularly find your lack and often misuse of punctuation that appeasing. In some places, I found that I had no direction for the flow, and other places I found you would have an inaccurate punctuation mark placed that i just wanted to strangle (although, it's pretty difficult to strangle a comma... lol)

I liked your word use, and despite the evil comma and other punctuation that was misused, the flow was smooth too. I liked your rhyming pattern, and it very much so reminds me of a poem that I would write.

    Well done,
    5/5
