One lasting memory

by megann anne   May 3, 2007

She waited around for someone... all afternoon
she sat there and cried...in that empty room
and.. she's so confused.. about where she is tonight
she hasn't been okay, since her parents last fight.

she wanders all around...
but its only in a square
she sits, she stands, she cries,
she gently tugs her hair
she looks around and then breaks down,
wishes her mem'rys gone
all she wants is to go home...

and her one lasting memory,
is of the night her parents died....

the loud TV show,
and her mommas silent pleading
her daddy yellin,
and him given her a beating

and she still remembers
the gun shots fired around room
and how one quiet night,
turned into her forever lasting gloom

she remember once again, about where she is and why
she sits down in the corner, and silently starts to cry.
