There's this tenderness
inside my chest
longing to be held
as though it were worthy
of being cradled

Still, don't deny her
like she's some foreign emotion
that cannot be expressed
well enough
to really believe,

You know who I am!

So touch me in a way
that makes heartaches dissipate
and adoration procreate
I need to know why were bleeding
in order to feel what's real
so soothe my soul's tenderness,
come on darling

    Melissa! That was such a beautiful poem! I really liked how the first verse described a heart. I also liked how you ended it with a question, keeps the reader in suspense, waiting for a response! Lol, good job on this one!
