Jump To The Sky

by KelseyinWonderland   May 4, 2007

Standing here at the edge of the cliff
The water is stagnant; the grass is so stiff.
The clouds aren't moving; the stars aren't out
You're overflowing and flooding with doubt.
You take a step back and gain your composure
Spending your whole life trying to find closure.
All of those years never did help
Trying to find ways to better yourself.
Finding a solution; easier said than done
Buried deep inside the barrel of the gun.
Climbing the length of the rope in your hands
The sun is going down and night time expands.
The rocks overlap the cliff at the base
The lines on your body will never erase.
The desecration and defilement on your skin
Indents of the torture that you've been in.
You don't look back but know you're alone
But tell yourself that you must go on.
From the groun the fall didn't look so high
But now from the top, you're ready to die.
Around your neck you tighten the rope
It's holding you now to scare away hope.
You spread out your arms an you're ready to fly
Whisper "I'm sorry" and jump to the sky.
