It's Not You

by Pia   May 4, 2007

Darlin', I want you
like a child wants their candy
like the bees need their honey
That's how I need you, too.

Darlin', I'm in love with you
Like a dog with its bone,
But my heart's not yours to own,
It's with another you.

You've brought us to another place,
And away from time we flew;
But when I'm drowning
in your chocolate gaze,
I think about him, too.

Darlin', now I'm lost
like a boat without an oar,
drifting slowly from the shore,
and I can't come back for you.

Darlin', you know the cost
You can't just take a card,
And I can't follow my heart,
`Cause it's not set on you.
