In Invisible Walls

by Wings Of Flames   May 4, 2007

In the garden blooming,
The flower's aroma stirs,
Mixing with the air,
In hormonal conquers,

This path paved with stone,
Carries us past thorns,
Our lungs gasp for air,
As the widowed are to morn,

Your path continues,
But mine was to end,
You grow wings to fly,
But fear my heart won't mend,

Past the ocean shore,
I will never touch,
You're gone forever,
And I know this much,

I watch the birds in envy,
As tears fall and fall,
A sadness overwhelming,
In invisible walls.

This is fantastic... the meaning of the poem is hidden deep inside...without the careful reading of the 4th stanza
    "Past the ocean shore,
    I will never touch,
    You're gone forever,
    And I know this much,"
it would be hard to find out what the poem is about...i like that kind of poetry, the poetry we can't read in a hurry to fully understand it...
    5/5
    keep going
