The Hate In your Eyes

by Cindy   May 4, 2007

When you look that way
It always makes me cry
Don't Know where it comes from
All that hatred in your eyes

Giving freely of myself
Have always loved you
With everything I am
Seems hard for you to do

You make me feel
Like I'm in the way
Wish things were different
For this day I'll pray

Not what I wanted
Dreamed for better things
My heart it is breaking
Your words always sting

Only one way out
Which I can see
Hoping for that day
When I am set free

Yes, i liked this one. again your words are very moving.

in this one i liked the way you created the side of the 2 characters, one with hatrid and shoing no love, and yet the other wanting the love and showing the love and getting nothing in return except confusion.

you also mentioned ... "Not what I wanted
    Dreamed for better things"
this is sad because i think a lot of people will read this and relate to it, thinking of what they had planned for their lives etc.

but on the other hand i think it might be an eye opener for those people who do not plan or want to achieve anything, and could possibly help motivate them into doing something with themselves.

It had a good flow and was an enjoyable read.

    well done, 5/5 x

Loved this poem,it was so sad...I know how you feel because I used to be treated this way....only I was the one who ended up with hatred in my eyes...you have wonderful poems, even though most are so sad.

Once again, another outstanding piece from you Cin.
It's so hard when someone you love so much seems to reject that love and treats you like dirt on the bottom of their show.. this piece speaks volumes to so many people..
