Surrounded By Stars.

by Teria   May 4, 2007

Surrounded by stars.

Surrounded by these stars,
that only she can see.
Further from her imagination,
is her eternity.
Living for what's out there,
stretching far and wide.
The girl with too many dreams.
has learned how to hide.

She hidden from the world,
reality's crushing down.
She can only go so far
before her world is drowned.
She's living for what's out there,
stretching far and wide.
A girl with too many dreams,
is way too young to hide.

Her emotions no longer exist,
they've somehow faded away.
The stars in the sky are running
as the sun comes out to play.
The brightness is killing what's left.
As they slowly learn to hide.
But, what's there to hide from?
Nothing but an empty heart.

-----------------
I know it doesn't make complete sense toward the end, but that's how I want it to be. :D

It is a powerful message being told in that last stanza. I liked this poem even though I must agree that the last stanza is confusing. All in all 5/5.
