You helped me

When I was sad, there you were
to help me see past the blur
when I was tired, and said I was done
you helped me see past the obstacles,
and showed me I had won
you always said you would never give up on me
and for sometime that was hard for me to believe
you told me that you'll always help
and told me to believe in myself
you said you understand my pain
but I still feel like I'm falling like rain
but i refuse to to get to close to you in a way
I'm afraid you'll push me away one day
you helped me handle things i couldn't do
all those days, you helped me get through
when i wanted to die, to get rid of the pain
all you said was "no way Jose"
you say you care, and understand
and you'll always be there to hold my hand
you helped me, even deal with my past
you helped me, now how long will it last?
