The Suffering

by Phantasmagoria   May 4, 2007

Cities grow in terror,
masses spread like a plague,
and the people walk with disease
being only a dead thing before it dies.
The children are reaching out,
death already clinging to them --
it is a death that fails to be seen
by the ignorant and unrepulsed,
a future of destruction --
a mechanical existence.
This is the suffering.
