Upon arrival

by doug frazier   May 5, 2007

Boarded this plane three hours ago.
For something so fast, we seem to be going
so slow.

Can't wait to hold you, feel your embrace.
Your soft, gentle touch, see the smile on your
face.

It seems like forever, since I last held you tight.
If you can forgive me, I'll make everything right.

I know when I left, you shed some tears.
But I had to serve, Uncle Sam said, "a year".

I'll take you to those places, where only passion can go.
To the brink of a cliff, or on a soft cloud below.

As long as we're together, there's no place I'd rather be.
Because in your arms, it's like heaven to me.

No Miss, that's all we have recovered so far.
We have crews going back to the crash site tomorrow.
Now, if you would come with me, we have counsellors and
clergy who can assist you.
