Search For Hidden Kisses

by carissalynn   May 5, 2007

Looking at my reflection
i got the look that
ive always wanted
or the look that everyone
else has always wanted

each day, everyday.
each meal, every meal.
The toilet seat i meet
to get the look that
i need, to be accepted.

Walking down the halls
Of my public high school
Insecure, and hungry
i eat. once again
the toilet seat i meet.

Screams echo through halls
A girl found me on the floor
skin, bone, and limb
heart beating barley

A great man and woman
lost their daughter that day
all because
she was trying to fit in

The girl wasn't getting loved, so she was searching for hidden comfort (kisses) but only found more sadness Enjoy! *once again, Sunny's amazing title [[=, you truly inspire me*

Wow, this was a very sad, yet beautiful poem. Andrea does have lovely titles! I really wish I could finish the poems I chose titles for!! Anyways, well done! I liked the little spoof at the bottom, seemed like a narratorish type thing to say, also helped make sense of the poem, for those who didn't understand the meaning!
