A Specail Night

by Brittany C   May 5, 2007

I see you standing there across the dance floor.
You look so wonderful in your net black tux.
I start to walk toward you. I wanted to ask you to dance
but I turn away and go sit down on the other side.

Why did I do that?
What's wrong with me?
I just had to chicken out.
God I hate myself now.

But then out of the corner of my eye I see him.
He's walking toward me; I don't know what to do.
I'm just frozen on my seat looking like an idiot.
Now he is in front of me offering me his hand.

I take his hand and we dance are hearts out.
He twirls me around the dance floor as others watch.
But we don't notice we are to catch up in each other.
We dance to the last song of the night, it cam to soon.

Now all I can do is hope that he calls me sometime.
But no matter what I will never forget that magic night.

Not too bad. Interesting message...I just don't like the flow and how it was more of a story, rather than a poem. Also, never be afraid of punctuation. =]
