Bath Toys Hate Me

by carissalynn   May 5, 2007

Running i hide hearing the water
splash into the tub, where they will be,
Bath toys of all shapes and sizes,
waiting to attack me with their colors so bright.

The boat with all the pirates and a gun,
Possessed yellow ducky that always seems to follow,
Squeezable fish that squirt you in the eyes,
A doll that seems to always laugh.

They all want me to drowned in the deep water,
Their little pebble eyes watching my every move,
Etching my way toward the plug in the tub,
They follow hovering over my shoulder.

I scream and swim as fast as i can across the tub,
reaching forward i try to grab the plug,
but the yellow ducky floats in front of my face,
smashing it into the water i grab the plug and pull.
