Summer bliss

by Kaila   May 5, 2007

Beaming sunshine covers the beach.
Luscious green grass beneath our feet.
Smooth cheeks, the sun accents the peach.
Bashful hand holding it is so sweet.

Sun bleached hair blown in my face.
Winds picking up, nice cool breeze.
Volleyball's next my heart is at race.
Bump, set, spike, I do with ease.

Setting sky, filled with orange and pink.
Sweatshirts now it's getting bitter.
Time for a chocolate ice cold drink.
He wonders if, he'll ever be with her.

Vibrant laughter, around the fire.
Glistening glances at one another.
Her eyes shine like blue Sapphire.
She's the girl who's like no other.

Sun starts to peek in once again.
Miserable now it's time to leave.
Greatest night since I don't know when.
He wears his heart on his sleeve.

One last smile, one last goodbye.
He leans in for one tasteful kiss.
The kiss was fantastic he lets out a sigh.
Now the night was absolute bliss.
