Hard At Work With English Muffins

by Italian Stallion   May 6, 2007

I'm writing this poem,
In regards to Liz.
She asked for a funny,
Yet a classic write.

So here I go,
I'm unfolding my ways
Leaving love poems,
And moving to funny.

English muffins?
That's what she wanted
Instead of Ice Cream,
And my lame jokes.

English muffins is what I eat,
In the morning out in the street.
Plain or raisins is what I like,
When I'm out riding on my bike.

People ask why I like English Muffins,
I reply, "why not, it makes you look toughen"
They tend to laugh at my response,
But I've yet to find out why.

Through all the years
I've lived without,
I was in sadness
But now I'm not.

I've found my one true love,
Oh that's right, it's English Muffins.
If you thought I couldn't write a poem,
Without love involved, well I'm sorry you're wrong.

My dear friend Elisabetta,
Here is your funny, yet classic poem.
Don't laugh at my work,
It's one of a kind.
