Decision

by x.Athame.x   May 6, 2007

No it isn't a snap call
No, it isn't a phase
This is just how it is
And how it's gonna stay
It isn't something that
I thought of late at night
It isn't the result
Of a petty little fight
It is not the outcome
Of a batch of tears
Nor is it a product
Of past or present fears
It simply is what it is
And all that it can be
It is a decision
A decision made by me

    I really wish you'd reconsider
Because I treated you like a sister.
    There's nothing that I wouldn't do
Just to make my wish come true.
    Sisters fight and sisters cry,
You know this. Don't sisters lie?
How long have I held you dear,
This decision was fueled by fear,
Fear of losing what was right,
Fear of putting up a fight,
Fear of going through this again,
Fear of giving up a friend.
There's nothing more I have to say,
Except I missed you tons today,
My good friend cut my arm again,
And I really wish you were my friend.
When all I needed was to say it loud,
You were the one who would scream and shout.
Now I bleed and wonder why
The only thing I did was lie.
