MY WALL

by Jaded Serenity   May 6, 2007

He caused me to put up a wall
i claw at it
my fingernails rip out
i don't feel the pain
i want happiness
things he rob of me when i was young
his liquor stole my childhood
i wavered in fear for so long
now I'm angry
the wall right in front of me
took me so long to even realize it was even there
there it is right in plain sight
i attack it
not even a scratch
i climb it i don't gain 10 feet
i will not stop till every fiber of it is gone
i stole his tools, i took his concrete
he will not build my wall anymore
