You sit their cuddled into your arms you hold.
The safety of yourself, The only safety you seem to know.
Tears falling into nothing, Breaking only to breath.
No one hears your sorrow, your sadness you wish you could relieve.
On the outside your calm, Happy is what thy neighbor sees.
If only they could look inside, And see your broken heart bleed.
Again you snap, and hurry to a place to hide.
And let the sadness bleed through the sleep-deprived eyes.
Even on the outside, the sorrow starts to take you.
The smile starts to fade into a crooked lifeless frown.
Everyone passing you by without making a simple sound.
The world turns it's back, As you quietly sob.
