Speak Slow If You Can Handle It.

by SmileeItsBritt   May 7, 2007

Despite your accusations,
I'm not all you've come to believe
So why not waste a little pity
Rather than turn around and leave?

Speak the words you're suppressing inside
Bring forth the pain you felt before,
I know this hurts, it was always meant to
This selfishness doesn't fit you anymore

I can make up stories so easily
But pretending to forget you is an act I can't pull off
For my nerves are growing shaky now
This breaking heart has had enough

So naive to think you'd notice,
So blind to think you'd have the heart
I should have known that this was finished,
before we even reached the start.
