I miss you

It's been so long since I've held you in my arms, I can almost still feel you here. The way you rest your head on my chest to listen to my heart beat. The way your arms slowly slide around my waist. The way you softly sigh in relief to feel my arms wrap around you. I can feel your lips begin to curl into a smile and your eyes close slowly. Knowing finally in my embrace you are truly safe. It feels like it's been forever since I felt you hold onto me like that. I can't seem to catch my breath when you're gone. I can't seem to think straight. My whole body aches for your touch.
