Living Each Day Like You're Already Dead

by dollwithafrown   May 7, 2007

Oh son, you're such a charming boy,
With your shining smile and translucent eyes,
But this facade is only a ploy;
As deep inside you a young soul cries.

Your heart is full and beating,
Yet your room is dull and dark.
Here I feel like I'm constantly repeating,
"Oh dear, you've lost your spark."

It's that evil beast called Satan,
Whom you choose to love and adore.
All I hope to do is straighten you out,
To be the young man you were before.

Black makeup lines your eyes each day,
A pale complexion drowns your face.
I'm running out of words to say,
That will put my boy back in his place.

It's really hard to get across to
Someone who's fixed a story in their head.
Just like it's hard to accept anything else
When you live each day like you're already dead.
